For 2023, Pantone’s Colour of the Year is unconventional, bold and expressive. Viva Magenta from the red family promotes a feeling of optimism and has us excited for all the bright interiors we’ll see throughout 2023.

If you’re a lover of bold interiors, this year’s colour is a dream come true. But if you prefer your homewares slightly more muted, there are ways to integrate the gorgeous magenta tones into your home with discreet additions.

Explore our Viva Magenta homewares edit to find pieces from our favourite interiors shops that are bold yet understated and created with quality top of mind.

Lampshades from Pooky

We love this blown glass, handmade “bubble” pendant shade in dahlia magenta. It’s a soft spoken way to incorporate a magenta hue into the home. We also love the Tiddly Pomme Table Lamp in Magenta with an adorable print, plus their gorgeous Empress Shade which is slightly bolder in Berries Egg & Spoon Silken Ikat.

Molly Mahon block printed ceramics & textiles

For ceramics and textiles in bold block print magenta, definitely check out Molly Mahon’s collections. All items are created in their workshops in Ashdown Forest UK and each piece is a warm, welcoming addition to any home.

Le Creuset - cerise colour collection

If you need an excuse to treat yourself to a little Le Creuset in the home, then their collection of wares in the cerise colour are not only classic but a way to bring in hues from the Viva Magenta red family to your interiors.

KitchenAid stand mixer in beetroot

If magenta is your favourite colour and you’re a cooking or baking enthusiast yet to invest in this iconic mixer, then now’s the time to snap up a funky KitchenAid to bring a little vibrance to the kitchen!

Loaf smithy sofa in jam sandwich

Loaf sofas are timeless and created to last. Our favourite style is the Smithy sofa which comes in this petty jam sandwich tone. If you love the colour but aren’t looking for a sofa, then why not pick up one of their Muggins mugs in jam sandwich instead?

OKA cushion in hot pink

This rectangular velvet cushion cover in hot pink is simple in design, elegant and bold in colour. If you love the magenta tone for making a statement in the home, then little additions like this can make all the difference.

Tiles from Bert and May

Bert & May craft exceptional, bold tiles and are a firm favourite for helping create spaces that have that raw yet refined aesthetic. They have a gorgeous selection of earthy, deep tone tiles that fall within the magenta spectrum and are great alternatives to your traditional tiles. Here are just a few of our favourite: Luna garnet tile, Rhubarb hexagonal tile & Garnet hexagonal tile.

Dilli Grey patchwork kanthan in bon bon

A soft, cosy way to bring magenta into your homewares, we love these cotton throws from Dilli Grey. Each one is hand embroidered in a small village outside of Jaipur and made from small leftover pieces of block-print fabric to help minimise waste.

Andalucia Zahara rug from Weaver Green

Bring a little Mediterranean flair into your home with a beautiful rug from Weaver Green. Featuring faded tones and a geometrical pattern, we love this rug for bringing the magenta shade cohesively and easily into the home.
